The team has funded oil and gas projects for some of the biggest oil and gas producers in Africa over the past couple of decades. Our specialized team works in multiple jurisdictions across Africa, the UK, India, and China.

The $4.87-bn project financing of the Coral Sul (South) Floating Liquified Natural Gas (FLNG) unit in Mozambique is a first for Africa. The unit will operate 80km from the coastline, extracting gas from wells located at a depth of 2km and producing approximately 3.4 million tonnes of exportable LNG per year.

RMB provided the largest funding commitment by an African bank, demonstrating our appetite to unlock opportunities for our clients in the oil and gas sector.
